Abstract
A composition for producing building stones, which composition comprises, as the main components, a light ballast material, which consists of expanded pearlite, which has a density of 0.04-0.1 g/cm3 and which is present in a quantity of 30-60% by volume; a binder, which consists of Portland cement, which is present in a quantity of 3-5% by volume, and blast furnace slag, which has a specific surface of 3000-6000 cm2/g and which is present in a quantity of 7-9% by volume; a ballast material, which consists of sand which is present in a quantity of 20-42% by volume; a hydrophobic agent, which consists of kyanite which is present in a quantity of 1.5- 2.5% by volume; and a filler which is present in a quantity of 3-15% by volume, which composition is shaped, after addition of a limited quantity of water, which gives rise to an earth-moist mixture, into building stones while being subjected to vibration and pressure in a block and ground stone machine and subsequent hardening without any supply of heat.
