Abstract

The tow line (5) extends from the storage roller (2) to the feeder roller (1) with which it engages. When the feeder roller rotates to feed in the line, the drive arrangement (3) drives the storage roller, maintaining the line stretched between the two rollers. The drive arrangement comprises a first driving component (7) which is connected by a free wheel coupling (8) to a primary shaft (9) rotatable by the motor. On rotation of the primary shaft in a first direction, to feed in the line by means of the feeder roller, the free wheel coupling locks together the first drive component and the primary shaft. When the primary shaft rotates in the other direction to pay out the line, the coupling allows the primary shaft to rotate freely in relation to the first drive component. A second drive component (11) is connected to the first drive component (7), and via a pliable coupling (12) transmits driving force to the storage roller to wind in the line on it when the primary shaft is driven in the first direction.
