Abstract
The invention relates to a regeneration arrangement for a catalyst-coated ceramic particle filter for cleaning exhaust gases from internal combustion engines, in particular from diesel engines, by separating soot particles and combustion of carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons. The filter has essentially vertically arranged parallel-running ducts, every other one of which is connected to an inlet chamber located at the bottom as an inlet duct and every other one of which is connected to an outlet chamber located at the top as an outlet duct. An air pump 19 is connected via a solenoid valve 21 to a line 11, 20 for connection of a pressure indicator 14, 18 to the inlet chamber, with the connection of the pressure indicator positioned between the inlet chamber and the solenoid valve. The solenoid valve 21 is arranged so as to be adjusted from a closed normal position to an open position when the air pump 19 is connected so as to supply air to the inlet chamber through the line 11, 20 while the filter is heated to regenerate the same by means of a heating element arranged in the inlet chamber. <IMAGE>
