Abstract

The invention relates to apparatus for damping vibrations, more particularly in the drive train of a vehicle, which has a damping device with energy accumulators. The apparatus is basically a flywheel 2 which has two flywheel elements 3, 4 which are rotatable relative to one another but are limited in their rotation by energy accumulators 24 which act between the two elements. The energy accumulators are mounted in a chamber 15 which also contains a viscous medium, and a bearing or bearings which journal the one flywheel element relative to the other are also located within this chamber. <IMAGE>
