Abstract

A device for the attachment of building panels, preferably gypsum board panels, to a supporting structure comprises a plate 8 having teeth 9 along one edge. The teeth 9 are integral with the plate 8 and are bent to an acute angle of about 75 DEG to the plate 8. The teeth 9 have triangular shape with an apex angle of about 36 DEG . The teeth 9 are separated by means of recesses 10, the width of which is about 30% of the root width of the teeth. Opposite the teeth 9 the plate (8) has an edge portion 11 bent in the opposite sense of the teeth and forming an obtuse angle of about 137 DEG to the plate 8. A bead 12 connects the plate 8 to the edge portion 11. The bead 12 extends generally in the same direction as the teeth (9) and has a height adapted to the thickness of the part of the supporting structure with which the device (4) is to interact. The device is made from hardened steel with a carbon content of about 0,7%. <IMAGE>
