Abstract

The invention relates to coupling plug sockets with or without a protective-earth contact. The plug socket consists of a longitudinally split housing part, which preferably consists of thermoplastic material. According to the invention, both housing part halves are constructed as an integral part via a segment, by means of film hinges which are known per se and are fitted to the cylindrical outer walls of said plug part halves, and can be folded together to form a common, enclosed housing. The walls of the cylindrical housing part and the segment wall lie flush on a common arc of a circle when folded together. An integral base part is integrated by techniques such as soldering, welding or bonding in the housing part half which carries the contact support assembly. <IMAGE>
