Abstract

The transporter has movable step segments (12) operated by an eccentric unit (19) driven by a shaft (17a) to produce a vertical movement component. The eccentric is connected to the movable segments via a crank rod (33). The drive shaft drives a cam curve (18) against which a rocker arm (22) lcoates. This arm moves the segments in a parallel fashion across the longitudinal direction of the transporter so that they are moved upwards, pushing outside the fixed step profile.
