Abstract
The invention relates to a rubber mixture which is formed from an elastomer component, which promotes adhesiveness, and from an easily processable component, at least 10% by weight of styrene-butadiene copolymer with a bound styrene content of approximately 45% by weight, at least 30% by weight of reinforcing soot, and approximately 0.5% by weight of sulphur, and is cross-linkable in the presence of at least 5% by weight of a condensation product formed from a mono- or bivaient hydrogen phenol and formaldehyde. The vulcanisates, which are obtained, have a Shore A hardness of 98 DEG and a modulus of elasticity of 8.8 M Pa, and they are especially suitable for hard tyre components, such as, for example, a bead core reinforcement, bead protective strip or an underplate for tread strips.
