Abstract

A sensor is placed in the magnetic field of the asynchronous motor. The output signal from the sensor is an a.c. voltage which includes a component that is at the same frequency as the motor current. If that frequency exceeds, or is less than predetermined values, corresponding to the desired motor speed range, the voltage supply to the motor is cut off. (Provisional basic advised week 89/25)
