Abstract

Laminated paper sheets (13) are manufactured by laminating superimposed paper layers (1,4,8,10) together. In the procedure, porous papers, which may be e.g. of Kraftliner, are impregnated with a binding resin, such as phenolic or melamine resin, and stacked in a combination (9) which is laminated by pressing it at elevated temperature, and subsequent to pressing, is split into parts in that one pressing run yields at least two laminated sheets. The essential feature in the invention is that the splitting of the combination (9) into parts is accomplished by binding two of the paper layers (1,4) together with an adhesive agent which softens when heated and by placing them in an interval of the superimposed paper layers (8) in the combination, whereby said paper layers bound together are laminated under pressure to become part of the sheets (13) which are being produced, and said adhesive agent causes the sheets to separate. For adhesive agent is used advantageously a polymer which has a lower softening temperature that the pressing temperature used, e.g. an appropriate polyethylene or polypropene or a wax. <IMAGE>
