Abstract

The injection and regulating system has injection nozzles for the fuel and additive fluid. Incorporated are pneumatically operable pressure sensors (17,19) that communicate with the inside of the inlet manifold. On both sides of the throttle valve (15) are pressure sensors which govern a valve for metering the fluid. One pressure sensor is arranged downstream of the throttle valve to sense the coefficient of fullness of the engine. The device for sensing the pressure in the inlet manifold (14) is arranged upstream of the throttle valve. A second pressure sensor is actuated by the incoming airflow to the engine. The output signals/deflections from both pressure sensors are coordinated and integrated in such a manner, that each pressure sensor regulates the metering valve (26) independently of one another. The total output signal/deflection is composed of output signals/deflections from both pressure sensors.
