Abstract

For rapid coupling of a flexible or rigid tube 1 to a connection 8, the latter has a cutout with an O-ring 6 in a groove in its wall. Connected axially non-displaceably but rotatably to the connection is a sleeve 3. The opening of the sleeve, which is coaxial with the cutout of the connection, accommodates a coil spring 4, one end of which is connected to the sleeve 3 and the other end of which is connected to the connection 8, so it can be expanded by rotation of the sleeve relative to the connection. The tube 1 can then be pushed therethrough and through the O-ring into engagement with the cutout of the connection. When the sleeve 3 is subsequently released, the spring 4 engages with the tube to secure the latter in position. <IMAGE>
