Abstract

A device for manufacturing a stem on a blown glass article has a rotary member which is provided for supporting and securing a glassblowing pipe with a blown glass article (4) mounted thereon with a heated tip (5) and for rotating the pipe and consequently the article about the longitudinal axis (A) of the pipe. A tool holder (15), which is displaceable to and fro in relation to the rotary member along the longitudinal axis (A) of the pipe between a front position and a rear position, bears a drawing tool (16) which is displaceable with it and is provided to bring about, in the front position of the tool holder (15), a clamping around the heated tip (5) in order, during the relative displacement of the tool holder (15) into the rear position, to draw out a stem on the blown article (4). <IMAGE>
