Abstract

A centrifuge drum encloses a pusher plate (not shown) which is axially reciprocated by a double-acting hydraulic ram enclosed within the rotating shaft 1 on which the drum is mounted. The shaft is hollow to form the ram cylinder, and the ram piston 2, to which the pusher plate is connected by rod 3, is reciprocated in the cylinder by fluid fed through ducts 5, 9, 10. <IMAGE>
