Abstract
A dip solution for removing plastic film maskings adhering or sticking to a surface such as an aluminium surface, with the aid of a pressure-sensitive adhesive essentially comprises an aqueous solution of from 1 to 10 per cent by weight of a mixture of an organic salt formed from a short-chain fatty acid and an alkanolamine, acid being provided in sufficient excess to achieve a pH of from approximately 6 to 7. A preferred solution comprises from 1 to 3 % of a mixture of caprylic acid and triethanolamine, the weight ratio of the acid to the amine being approximately 2 to 1.
