Abstract

Plunger piston actuating mechanism for a magnetic tape apparatus having a head locking plate (6), which is connected to a head plate (1), which is normally prestressed into its withdrawn position by a stopping spring (5), a drive device for acting on the head locking plate (6), in order to draw it in a direction for pushing forward the head plate (1), a locking device for locking the head locking plate (6), which is moved forward by the drive device in order in this way to arrange the head plate (1) in the pushed-forward position, clamping plates (13R, 13F), which are individually connected to two attracting plunger core coils (15R, 15F) and are locked by these plunger core coils (15R, 15F) when the latter are excited, so that the engagement between the head locking plate (6) and the drive device is maintained by at least one clamping plate (13R, 13F) which is locked by the excited plunger core coil (15R, 15F), control plates (17F, 17R) for the fast forward transport and rewinding, which plates are connected to the two clamping plates (13R, 13F) in order to provide the fast forward transport and the rewinding, so that one of the control plates (17R, 17F) is set to fast forward transport or to rewinding when one of the plunger core coils (15R, 15F) is excited, but neither of the control plates (17F, 17R) is set to fast forward transport or to rewinding when both plunger core coils ...
