Abstract

The coaxial collector is for a geothermal unit and allows heat extraction without lowering the medium temperature to 0 deg. C. Water can thus be used without the addition of any frost-protection medium, apart from cooking salt. - The relative flow speeds in the heat-exchanger collector circuit and the collector volume are increased. The temperature gradients are reduced at the same time. The medium is passed through a central pipe and returned through a larger one enclosing it and occupying most of the borehole.
