Abstract

A device for application of a brake (9) included in the break assembly of a wheel (10) includes a sleeve-type extension piece (11) with a primary part (12) designed to insert into a space (16) between a wheel sleeve shell (13) on the wheel (10) and the wheel axle (14) received in the hub shell (13) and designed to be fixed to the hub shell (13) via an attachment mechanism (17). The extension piece (11) has a secondary part (15) that is designed to extend from the hub shell interior and form the brake (9) or be attached to it. Outside the hub shell (13), the extension piece features a space (18) for reception of a bearing (19) meant for situation between the extension's (11) radial side (20) radially delimiting the space (18) and the wheel axle (14) extending through the extension piece (11) (fig 3).<IMAGE>
