Abstract

A hand-held tool operated by electricity, such as a stapling gun, comprises a switch 46 consisting of two switching elements: the first switching element 50 carries a first flexible, elastic conducting blade 54 consisting for example of a copper alloy, projecting from the edge of the printed card, the other element 52 is a flexible, elastic blade 56 whose pointed, folded-back end 58 is in contact with one face of the first blade. These blades are pushed together to constitute a normally closed switch. When the first blade is drawn in one direction, the switch opens. When the first blade returns in the opposite direction in order to close the switch, the pointed end of the other elastic blade scrapes the corrosive deposit on the region of contact of the two elements: this allows the use of a low current 1mA as control current passing through the switch. <IMAGE>
