Abstract
PURPOSE:To attempt simplification of a connecting means and densification as well as miniaturization of an electronic appliance, by turning a power souce on and off as a result of shifting a battery holding member which holds a battery from or to the electric contact of an electronic appliance. CONSTITUTION:A battery 14 is installed in the body of an electronic appliance such as a desk type electronic calculator or the like. In this case, the battery 14 is set in a holder 15, which is accommodated in a battery housing chamber 13. The battery 14 is held in a claw 15a of the holder 15 for holding a battery, an elastic positioning arm 16 is projected from the tip of the claw 15a, and the arm 16 is fitted into the recess 17 of the housing chamber 13. Furthermore, circuit board 10 of the housing chamber 13, a leaf spiringlike cathode contact 19 of the battery 14 is connected with the cathode pattern 18, and, a coil-springlike anode contact 23 is arranged in a groove 21 on the anode pattern 20. Thereby, elelectrical connection with the battery 14 is achieved, by sliding the holder 15 holding battery 14, in A direction.
