Abstract

The present invention relates to a control arrangement for a central consumer unit connected to a distant heating system, with a flow measuring device, temperature transmitters for measuring the forward run and return run temperature and an integrating device for calculating and integrating consumed thermal energy as well as a variable, flow-regulating valve for regulating the flow of distant heating water through the central consumer unit. In order to avoid, in the case of increased heat requirement, situations with uncontrollable distribution of flow and energy, a control arrangement is provided according to the invention, which consists of a flow and/or energy limiting unit which has a sampling member for sampling the flow of distant heating water through the central consumer unit and/or the energy extracted from the distant heating system, a reference member which compares the value of the flow and/or of the energy extracted with a predetermined maximum value, and a control member which is connected to the flow-regulating valve and which reduces the flow and/or the energy to the said maximum value.
