Abstract

Lock for a safety belt with two waist straps and at least one other strap, whereby the lock includes a locking case (10) for securing the belt fitted on the one waist strap, including a locking mechanism (16) with a manually operable release device (20), a locking tongue (11) for attaching it to the second waist strap, which can be placed into an opening (33,34) in the locking case in conjunction with the locking mechanism, together with a device (12,13) for the other strap, arranged to be attached into the locking case and locking tongue by these being brought into a locking grip with each other. A catch (35, 36) is fitted in the locking case, which is spring loaded. This spring loading partly pushes the catch into the entry slot (33, 34) for the locking tongue (11) in order to prevent the locking tongue coming through the opening to mesh with the locking mechanism. Further an opening (41,43; 42,44) is cut in the locking case for the device or each device (12,13) to be accepted right through the entry slot for the locking tongue when the device is pressed against the catch and the exit of the device against the spring effect by the locking tongue's opening. The device (12, 13) is shaped with a slot (45) to push the locking tongue through and thereby retain the device in the locking case when the locking tongue is pushed into mesh with the locking mechanism.<IMAGE>
