Invention concerns a grinding machine with a grinder, especially for grinding of lengthwise work pieces, such as band saw blades, and featuring a feeder unit (49) which is arranged to be mobile to and from the grinder unit (9U, 9L), gripping device (33R, 33L) which is mounted on the feeder unit (49) so that it is placed on opposite sides of the grinder unit (9U, 9L) to hold fast a work piece (W) which shall be ground, and a support device (85, 87) positioned on the feeder unit (49) to steady the work piece being ground.<IMAGE>
