Abstract

The invention refers to a scraper in order to remove coatings or particles on the periphery of a rotating wheel or on an endless running belt. According to the invention the scraper (3, 4) is placed at an angle against the direction of motion at the object (2) to be scraped as well as set up to oscillate in a direction parallel with the scraper's edge line (5). The scraper can be tipped up from and down toward the object through turning around an axis of rotation (9) parallel with the direction of oscillation. Oscillation is achieved with the aid of an air cylinder (8), whose centre axel runs together with the axis of rotation (9).<IMAGE>
