Abstract
For ignition purposes an incandescent wire or an electrically heated tube element is used. Also in the flame chamber can be fitted turbulators to improve the utilisation of the smoke gases. In the lower part of the flame chamber is a photo cell which can monitor a specific colour in the flame corresponding to complete combustion of the smoke gases. When such a colour is reached, the cell switches off the igniter. - An alternative to the photo cell is a temp. indicator fitted in the smoke gas duct which senses a gas temp. corresponding to complete gas combustion, at which point it likewise switches off the igniter. A detector is also connected to the igniter so that the latter is only switched on for as long as is necessary to achieve a temp. at which complete combustion of the smoke gases is obtained.
