Abstract
Process for the automatic stepwise cooling of agricultural bulk goods, e.g. grains in a silo (5), fresh air sucked in from the surroundings being cooled with the aid of a refrigeration machine and passed into the silo (5). To control the cold air fed in, a control system is present, the setpoint of which is automatically readjusted in dependence on a temperature sensor (16) arranged in the upper region of the cooling section of the silo (5). Depending on the deviation, the flow rate of air fed is controlled before its cooling in the evaporator (3) of the refrigeration machine and thus the temperature of the cold air introduced into the silo (5) is controlled.
<??>This process makes possible an optimal stepwise cooling of the bulk goods which is free from human error and, for economic reasons, can be carried out in a relatively large number of sequential steps.
