Abstract
Drive for a stepping motor, whose stator winding has a centre point outlet. With the centre point outlet connected the stepping motor can be bi-polarly driven with drive voltage across the entire stator winding or unipolarly with drive voltage across a winding half in a stator winding in a series with a winding half in another stator winding. The changeover between bipolar and unipolar operation is controlled by an electronic change-over switch. The device allows changeover of the stepping motor's number of ampere revolutions without changing the drive voltage.<IMAGE>
