Abstract

Die has central mandrel for the extrusion of hollow bodies in which the mandrel has flow channels providing a flow of material in at least two different directions relative to the longitudinal axis of the die. Deflector provides a flow of material having mutually different flow cross sections. Sleeve shaped element is supported by the mandrel and has grooves in the envelope surface defining the different directions. Longitudinal axis forms the bisectrix to the angle between the grooves. Flow directions are defined by crossing sets of grooves in the external wall of the sleeve, where the grooves in each set are parallel and spaced at a moderate distance, within the range of some millimeters.
