Abstract

The end closure comprises a panel arranged for covering an opening in the container end. The closure also comprises a marginal portion. Radially adjacent portions of the panel have mutually different wall thicknesses, e.g. formed by a spiral shaped groove (14) and a ridge. This forms pressure sensitive deformation zones.
