Abstract

The invention applies to a combined venturi and exhalation valve aggregate, that has a main section (817) with a channel (818), which stretches axially and builds a central airway opening (823), which is intended to be coupled to the patient. A venturi section (826) is displaceably affixed in the channel (818) inside the main section (817) for movement between the first and second positions. The main section (817) is designed with an outlet opening (819), which communicates with the channel (818) and is separate from the central airway opening (823). The main section (817) is also designed with an inlet opening (848) that communicates with the channel (818) and is separated from the outlet opening (819). The venturi section (826) has a venturi-like channel (833), which stretches axially through the venturi section. A nozzle (851) is supported by the venturi section (826) and has an opening (852) axially positioned with the venturi-like channel (833). A membrane (861) is supported by the main section (817) and stretches across the channel in the section. An end casing (858) is supported by the section and has an inlet (864), communicating with one side of the membrane (861). The channel (863) establishes communication between the inlet (864) and the nozzle (851) and stretches through the membrane (861), so that, when gas is supplied through the inlet (864), the venturi section (826) is displaced from the first to the second position in order to close the outlet opening (819). A spring (841) returns the venturi section (826) from the second to the first position in order to open the outlet opening, when gas is not applied to the inlet (864).<IMAGE>
