Abstract

An arrangement for damping rolling motions for bogie rail vehicles is to be provided which on a straight track correctly and effectively damps the rotary motions resulting from rolling without disadvantageous secondary effects and when going round a bend does not inhibit rotary movements in an undesired fashion. An arrangement of this kind for damping rolling motions, having a hydraulic element for damping rolling motions and mechanical decoupling of the damping effect for all the components of the motion, except for rotation about a vertical axis (z), has two approximately horizontal dampers (9) which produce damping moments with respect to the axis of rotation (z). The said dampers are arranged between the vehicle body (2) as one connection system and the bogie frame (1) as the other connection system, at a distance (a) from a vertical axis of rotation (z), which distance acts as a lever arm. The connections (7, 10) of said axis are made in an articulated fashion on the one end to an element which is fixed to the connection system (2, 1) and at the other end in articulated fashion via swivel levers (5) and a shaft (4) which is rotatably (3) mounted for these dampers (9) on the other connection system (1, 2). Between the dampers (9), a rigid connection rod (12) is arranged which acts essentially parallel to the said dampers (9) and is connected at both ends in an articulated fashion (11) to one of the two systems (1, 2).
