Abstract
The invention relates to an optical arrangement for electro-optical range finders, which can be used in simple distance-measuring instruments or electro-optical tachymeters and for all geometric and physical beam divisions. The optical system of the electro-optical range finder is designed in such a way that only one telescope is used for all three beam systems and that, with a free optical axis, a beam division of the infrared transmitting and receiver beam paths is effected biaxially with respect to one another and at the same time coaxially with respect to the visual telescope beam path, at the same time reducing the number of optical components, increasing the degree of transmissivity, the measuring range and the image quality. In the image plane of the lens along the optical axis, only one reflection system is located which represents a plane-parallel plate of optical glass and consists of at least two individual parts, two surfaces of each individual part being arranged in wedge form with respect to one another for the geometric beam division and only one surface of the wedge surfaces of the individual parts, opposite one another within the plane-parallel plate, being covered with a reflecting layer for the physical beam division. <IMAGE>
