Abstract

The combustion chamber (2) has a fluidised bed (5) and a base (7) with apertures (11). Through the apertures, the bed material can drop into a cooling chamber (4) with cooling tubes (12), and through which flows combustion air. The cooling tubes discharge at their outlet ends into a chamber which communicates with an air distribution chamber (8) which provides mouthpieces in the base of the combustion chamber to supply the chamber with combustion and fluidising air.
