Abstract

A tensile force indicator for measurement and indication of tensile force in a fixed-end wire or continuous wire. The indicator (5) consists of a flat bar that is turned around its longitudinal axle and two coaxial sleeve components (10) surrounding the bar. These are equipped with interactive indicator devices (12, 13, 14, 15) and are non-rotational and are connected to each end (7, 8) of the bar. The ends (7,8) are provided with fixtures (6') for the wire and an adjustment device for adjusting the clamping force. A change in this would result in a change in the length of the bar and a relative rotation between both its ends (7, 8). This rotation is indicated by a displacement between the indication devices (12, 13, 14, 15) and the sleeve components (10).<IMAGE>
