Abstract

The invention is a collapsible transport chair, which comprises an elongated main frame (1) with backrest (4). One end of the main frame is equipped with two wheels while the other end forms a handle (3). An elongated load frame (5), whose one end forms a footrest, is pivotably mounted in the main frame at a distance from the wheel-borne end of the main frame. A support frame fixes the load frame at a predetermined angle to the main frame. One end of the support frame is pivotably mounted in the load frame at a distance from the load frame retainer in the main frame. The other end of the support frame is equipped with locking bodies for releasable locking to the wheel-borne end of the main frame. A seat (12) has a front section that is pivotably mounted in arms (14, 15) while the opposite end is pivotably mounted in the load frame at a distance from the load frame retainer in the main frame. The rear part of the seat is equipped with locking bodies (13) for releasable locking to the main frame. The transport chair's main frame, load frame, support frame, arms and seat can be folded essentially parallel to each other when the seat is collapsed. The seat thereby takes up minimal space in its collapsed state.<IMAGE>
