Abstract
For the simplest possible and most cost-effective production of a thermally insulated conduit pipe, first of all a foam helix (2) is applied to a metal pipe (1). Around this helix is formed a thermoplastic jacket (5), into which foamable material is simultaneously introduced by means of a carrier (6). During foaming, the jacket is supported by a mechanically strong pipe which is formed from a strip (12) running in longitudinally. This pipe is subsequently removed again. <IMAGE>
