Abstract
A gripping device, illustrated in Fig. 1, for an industrial robot contains a plurality of gripping-finger pairs, each of which is assigned its own pressure-medium cylinder, so that they are movable into gripping positions independent of one another. The gripping-finger pairs are rotatable, together with their respective pressure-medium cylinder, independently of one another about an axis extending perpendicularly to the pivoting plane of the gripping fingers and are held by spring means in a central starting position defined by stops. <IMAGE>
