Abstract

The manipulating machine moves an item (4) within an area of given limits in the horizontal and vertical directions, and delivers it to a setting-down point (8). The machine has a horizontal frame (26) moved up and down to give the desired vertical movement and forming the horizontal guide for two manipulators (58) travelling between its edges. One of these forms a shelf for the load and the other a thruster for moving the load on and off the shelf.(1)
