Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform independent operation of respective carriages and synchronized operation of arbitrary carriages without any mechanical connection by installing electrohydraulic stepping cylinders to the divided carriages for walking beams and driving the carriages upward, downward, forward and backward by means of pulse signals.
CONSTITUTION: Carriages 4aW4c of walking beams 2aW2c are divided and electrohydraulic stepping cylinders are used to the elevating cylinders 11 and forward-backward moving cylinders 12 of the respective carriages. The electric pulse motors of these cylinders are connected to the pulse setters provided in correspondence to the respective carriages by way of change-over switches for independent and synchronized operations. In addition, the cylinders are also connected to themselves so as to be synchronized by changing-over of said change-over switches, so that the elevating movements and forward-backward movements of the respective trucks are accomplished independently or synchronously. The equipment is simple and causes less troubles, and the highly accurate elevating, and forward-backward movements of the walking beams may be performed at low equipment costs. Independent conveying motion of arbitrary beams is also possible.
