Abstract

The wood splitter comprises a long, rigid frame (5) from which projects at right-angles a wedge-shaped blade (8). A power-operated movable support (9) is positioned parallel to the frame beam, and locates against one end of a piece of wood (10) to be split. The frame is carried in a vertical position on a tractor (1) which has a hydraulic lifting mechanism comprising two arms (4) parallel to each other and movable in a height direction. The support comprises a cradle pivotably supported by one of the arms.
