Abstract

The device is for treating rolled up material which is conveyed along a path during treatment whilst being supported by air which is made to stream out from a number of nozzles, placed perpendicularly to the direction of travel. There are also two parallel columns running alongside the crisscross nozzle network, expelling air at an angle to the direction of travel. This combination of nozzles and columns has the effect of forming cushions of air which support the material.
