Abstract

When forcing cuttings in greenhouses a considerable waste of heat takes place due to the heating of an unnecessarily great volume of air. In order to reduce the energy consumption a planting table with water-resistant surface (1) and irrigation furrows (3) is used, which planting table is supplied with a house consisting of clear plastic foil (10) stretched across metal hoops (11). Under the surface (1) of the planting table heating units (5) and an air space (6) are arranged which is connected with air channels (9) in the sides and middle of the planting table. The heating units (5) are thermostatically controlled.
