Abstract

In a plant for printing cross-perforated paper strips provided with alignment holes, the strips run from a roller to a printing point. After printing, the paper is fed to a folding mechanism, and then is passed in its folded state on a continuous basis to a locating station on a transporter. In its feed from the printing point to the folding mechanism it passes a sensor and control installation which governs the folding process dependent upon the position of the paper strip section between the printing point and the location where it is folded. The sensor and control unit ensures that the folding mechanism is stopped synchronously with the printing point. (Provisional Basic advised week 83/39).
