Abstract
A heat pump, especially for heating water by extraction of heat from the air, comprises a box-shaped housing, compression refrigerating means disposed in the housing and comprising an encapsulated motor- compressor (16), a condensor and an evaporator (17), and a blower (18) and air guide means for the intake and discharge of the air. The evaporator (17), occupying the full width of the housing, and the blower (18), which together with the air guide means also occupies the full width of the housing, are disposed above a partition wall (19) in the housing, the partition wall being arranged to bear against the side walls of the housing and to extend from the edge of an air inlet opening (14) in a top wall of the housing to the lower edge of an air outlet opening (15) in an end wall of the housing. <IMAGE>
