Abstract
The ventilation and protection device for an unsealed chemical current source contains a hollow cylinder (1) whose one end (2) can be connected to the housing of the current source, a lug (4) constructed on the outer surface (3) of the hollow cylinder (1), two half shafts (5) constructed on the lug (4) on its two sides in the cross-sectional plane of the hollow cylinder (1), a stop (7) which is rigidly connected to the lug (4), a cover (10) with eyes (11) which is mounted in a pivoted manner on the half shafts (5) of the lug (4) and is arranged on the side of the end surface (9) of the hollow cylinder (1) opposite the end (2) connected to the housing of the current source, and a flat spring (18) for protecting the position of the cover (10), which spring makes contact at one end (19) with the stop (7) and at the other end (20) with the cover (10). In this case, the stop (7) projects with respect to the abovementioned end surface (9) of the hollow cylinder (1) and protrudes from its axis by a distance (L1) which exceeds the distance (L2) of the half shafts (5) from the axis of the hollow cylinder (1), while the cover (10) has a holder (17) for the attachment of the spring (18), which is located between the end surface (9) of the hollow cylinder (1) and the supporting surface (8) of the stop (7). The invention can be used particularly advantageously for electrical, unsealed alkaline accumulators. <IMAGE>
