Abstract
The invention relates to an arrangement for smoothing the potential distribution on polarised corona-discharge coatings consisting of semiconductor material, for high-voltage windings of electrical machines. In conventional polarisation methods it has been found that individual or several polarity points break easily, as a result of which the desired smooth potential distribution on the corona-shielding coating is lost and the effectiveness of the corona-shielding coating is forfeited. The object of the invention is to specify a design solution for polarising the corona-shielding coating in which a technical failure, as indicated above, is prevented, in which the production costs are considerably reduced in comparison with previously known solutions and in which a sufficiently smooth potential distribution can be achieved over the entire corona-shielding coating. According to the invention, the corona-shielding coating which is fitted between the main insulation and the insulated conductor assembly is electrically connected in DC terms on the surface and/or internally to a polarisation conductor system consisting of one or more conductor tracks, shaped in any desired way, the polarisation conductor system for its part being polarised at least at one point with the conductor material of the conductor assembly.
