Window construction, consisting of a window frame (3) and at least one arch (1a, 1b, 1c) with glass panes, whereby the window frame is equipped with a trim strip (5) of plastic or similar material at least at its lower edge. The trim strip protects the front edge of the window frame and at the same time at least part of the front edge of the arch (1a) against the effects of weather and moisture. In addition to the aforementioned protection, the front edge of the window frame is also protected by a trim strip (8) that is fastened in the arch and at the same time also functions as the retaining strip of the glass (11a) while part of the moulding extends in such a way that it protects the part of the arch (1a) not covered by the moulding (5) mounted in the window frame. The moulding (5) is equipped with two retaining flanges (5b), which cover the top and bottom part of the frame's front section (4) to protect the same. The moulding (5) flanges (5b) are equipped with transverse nail flanges (5c), which extend to the recesses (4a) in the front part of the frame.
