Abstract

A saw chain for a powered chain saw comprises cutting teeth, at the forward end of which a depth limiter is provided and located laterally opposite which is a side member which likewise has an outwardly extending depth limiter in its forward end region. The depth limiters are aligned with one another in the transverse direction of the chain and possess the same profile.
