Abstract

The grip is for a hand tool, e.g. a household knife (1,2) or file and has a fixed part (5) running parallel to the longitudinal direction of the tool. The fixed part has a slot and a conical hollow space in which a tool blade end (4) is inserted and fixed. The grip has a straight grip part (12), with oval or rounded cross-section, which projects upwards from the fixed part (5). An acute angle is formed between the straight grip part and the longitudinal direction of the tool. By being held by the operator's fingers parallel to the longitudinal direction of the tool, a force component is produced at right angles to that direction by the hand grip being impelled backwards and forwards.
