Abstract

An electrode for use in the surface electric stimulation of nervous- muscular structures, comprises a layer (1) formed of a flexible porous material, a plate (3) formed of a corrosion-resistant electrically conductive material having one side face abutting the layer (1) and its other side face abutting a cover (5) formed of electrically non-conductive material, and a connector (4) positioned in the middle of the plate (3) and projecting through the cover (5). The porous material is wetted with water, and is secured to the cover (5) by water-resistant glue (2) at the periphery. <IMAGE>
